As a real estate agent and investor, Natay Hayes has made a name for herself in the industry. However, she understands that the work she does is just one aspect of her life. What truly defines her is her passions and interests outside of work. Whether she’s practicing yoga, trying new foods, or exploring new places, Natay knows that these experiences shape who she is and help her to be a better businesswoman.

By balancing her professional responsibilities with her personal pursuits, Natay is able to bring a unique perspective to her work and connect with clients on a deeper level. Her dedication to personal growth and self-discovery is an inspiration to us all, reminding us that there is so much more to life than just work.

I was able to catch up with Natay and get a little insight on who she is behind the busy boss lady.

Hi, Natay. Thank you for taking some time to speak with us. Can you tell our readers a little about yourself?

I am a full-time real estate agent and investor, aspiring developer, and syndicator. I’m in the middle of working on my first ground-up construction deal and purchasing my first apartment building complex by way of syndication. Since 2012, I’ve built a 7-figure real estate portfolio from a $40,000/year job.

I’m the oldest of 3 siblings and was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. I now reside in Newark, NJ, which has been my home since graduating from Rutgers University with my Bachelor’s in Labor Studies and Psychology — proud Scarlett Knight. My background was in Human Resources prior to transitioning to real estate and I worked for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

From real estate investing to e-course development, you wear two very time-consuming hats. What do you do for self-care or work-life balance?

I’m big on self-care and balance. I work out in the gym 4x a week. I enjoy massage spas and yoga sessions. My biggest love is traveling. I love stamping my passport. I’ve been to 47 countries and the number keeps growing.

I often leave the country for a month or two at a time. I love the financial aspect that real estate has afforded me. I can leave at the drop of a dime and not think…
